General Regulations for booth constructing at NCC

     Located in the South West of Hanoi, NCC – National Convention Centre is the international convention complex of 60,000sqm invested and managed by Vietnam goverment. The convention was put into operation in 2006 for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Since then, the centre has been the venue for official international political and economic events.

The Organizer of Vietship -  International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation has realised Vietship dramatic growth in the past 4 years in term of size, exhibitors and visitors and has decided to organize Vietship 2008 at ASEAN’s most modern and facilitated convention center. To ensure the convention is properly used for the event and to advoid any damages may occur to the convention during the show period, exhibitors are requested to read thoroughly the below regulations. The Organizer and Official Contractor are more than happy to answer any question you may have relating to booth constructing. 

    Exhibitors may construct their stand with an outside contractor by filling in the Outside Contractor Form and return to the Organizer. The following requirements apply:

1. Vietnam National Convention Center (NCC) and Vietship 2008 Exhibition Organizing Committee (EOC): reserve the right to refuse any participants and/or contractor to enter the exhibition area if following conditions are not to be implemented. Outside contractors have responsibility to contact NCC’s Operating Office and/or EOC to well understand about the constructing regulations on exhibition area.

2. Vietship 2008 Schedule:

·        Move in    : 7 March - 10 March, 2008

·        Show time: 11 March - 14 March, 2008

·        Move out  : 15 March, 2008

·        Opening hours: 09:00hrs – 17:00hrs

·        During move-in and move-out, the opening hours are 8:00hrs – 18:00hrs. Any contractor requires extra time should register with the Organizer and pay the extra charges. 02 days before opening day, it is allowed to work until 22:00hrs

3. NCC’s Technical Specification and Ground Loading

·        The Ground Floor: 1.000kg/m2

·        The 2nd Floor: 900kg/m2

·        The 3rd Floor: 500kg/m2

·        Rank lift door of the 1st and 2nd floor: 2mW x 2.14L and 1.2W x 2.5L

·        Rank lift door of the 3rd: 1,08mW x 2,55m L

·        Loading capacity of the elevator : 4,7 ton

·        The 1st height: 0.98 with ascending grade         

Note: Please contact the Organizer of NCC for further instruction if any heavy machine need to be moved in the convention.

4. The contractor must abide the following items before moving in the exhibition area.

·        The exhibitor are responsible for any damage caused by their outside contractor and shoud supervise construction to ensure compliance with the Organizer and NCC procedures and regulations.

·        Pay the management fee: $2 per sqm for the period of an exhibition with any construction.

·        Buy the contractor badge for any worker who work in the whole period of exhibition with the price of $3 per badge (settle payment to the Organizing Board).

·        The special design construction and exhibits must be completely constructed outside the exhibition area, and then move into the stand to fit up again. It is strictly forbidden to carry any dangerous works, flamable work contacted and spray painting in exhibition hall.

·        The contractor has responsibilities to comply the safety standard to avoid fire.

·        The contractor is not allowed to place their unwanted materials to other stands. At the end of the day The exhibitor is required to see whether their contractors remove unwanted materials out of the hall.

·        During the construction. the workers in the exhibition area are not alloved to smoke or make any lose order or any troubles within the exhibition area.

·        The workers are prohibited to make any dirts to any materials of National Convention Center.

·        Inform the name of contractor manager to the Organizing Board.

·        Provide the name list of workers to the Organizer 07 days before the Move in.

·        Supplying the design of the stand (also dimension) and lighting setting to the Organizing Board 07 days before the Move in.

5. Note: NCC will make the observation to any constructing of the exhibitors or contractors in the exhibition hall. If any damages made by exhibitors or contractors, it is responsible for remedy by actual value.
